Anthony Formal wear is a family run business that have prided themselves on providing high quality Grooms wedding suits and accessories since the business opened in Essex in 1968, and it is still currently run by the original family.

Our Story
Having started life out as a highclass men’s retail store, Anthony Formal wear made the addition of wedding hire at the end of the 1970’s. We soon realised that there was only a limited selection of Grooms waistcoats and accessories being offered to buy or hire. Which is why we decided to start designing and manufacturing our own ranges and collections.
We now design in house and source all of our own fabrics from within Northern Europe. This allows us to have exclusive fabrics woven especially and exclusively for us which enables us to keep up with current fashions and trends within the wedding business.
Our shops
We have two shops in Essex offering our complete hire, retail and made-to-measure collections, but, have found that due to the internet we have attracted customers from all over the UK and the rest of the World. Which is why we are now offering a new Anthony Formal retail website that can provide you with all your men’s wedding accessories requirements direct to your front door.
